Meet Our Educational Director

Katie Campbell Sherman is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. In Pittsburgh, she had the privilege of performing
alongside Shirley Jones, Rue Mcclanahan, Patrick Wilson, and many others at the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera.
While in Pittsburgh Katie trained in dance, voice, piano, and theater with teachers from Carnegie Mellon University. Katie received her BFA from the Boston Conservatory of Music. While in Boston, she was a soloist with the Boston Pops at Boston’s Symphony orchestra. She was also the Dance captain of The Boston Conservatory Hoofers (a touring tap performance group).
After college, Katie performed in, choreographed, and directed theater all over the US. She also produced, directed, and performed in many concerts in New York City.
Katie has been teaching music, dance, and theater for over a decade now and loves sharing her talents with the next generation.
She recently moved to Tom’s River with her husband and two young boys.

Rebecca Madeira

Rebecca Madeira is so excited to be working at The Music Man, one of her favorite places on the shore! She is a recent graduate from Rutgers University, where she holds a BA in Music, specializing in voice. She spent most of her summer working at the Spring Lake Theater, assistant directing The Little Mermaid and performing as Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes.
