Continuing a New Tradition with Elizabeth Schaefer, Associate Director

LAVALLETTE, NJ – The Music Man Singing Ice Cream Shoppe is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Schaefer has joined the team as Associate Director. With her theater and music performance background, Schaefer will continue to bring her experience and expertise to the beloved ice cream shoppe.

As a graduate of Kansas Wesleyan University, Liz Schaefer has served as a national collegiate forensic and debate judge. This winter, she helped launch The Music Man’s Podcast, The Best Summer Adventure, where she also serves as co-producer and host.  Born and raised in Kansas, her talents have taken her across the country as she shares her passion for performing and working with aspiring performers of all ages.

In her new role as Associate Director at The Music Man Singing Ice Cream Shoppe, Schaefer will lead the Featured Performer program to help create unforgettable experiences for customers.  She has already played an integral role in the casting and staffing of this summer program to continue the shoppe’s legacy of combining delicious treats with exceptional entertainment.

“I am thrilled to be re-joining The Music Man Singing Ice Cream Shoppe in my new capacity,” said Schaefer. “I fell in love with The Music Man environment last summer and anticipate an equally rewarding experience this year. TMM’s unique blend of music and ice cream, and I am excited to work with such a talented team to bring joy to customers of all ages.”

In addition to her position at The Music Man Singing Ice Cream Shoppe as Associate Director, Liz is also a returning member of our Main Performer Cast and without a doubt will surely enhance the already magical experience of serenading our audience with the help from this summer’s cast.  We look forward to seeing the exciting collaborations and performances from Liz and castmates starting on Opening Night, Friday, May 26th.”
