 Job Summary

The Music Man is a unique family-style ice cream Shoppe where the server/performers (guys and gals) sing, dance, and improv with the audience. The Music Man operates a high-volume restaurant and entertainment venue on the Jersey Shore from May to September, and for special events in October and December. 

A Box Office Associate is the friendly face that greets TMM Audience on the phone, in person, and through chat, and helps them secure a table for our musical seating. They are the gatekeepers of good times, ensuring everyone has a smooth and enjoyable experience from the moment they book a table until they walk through the doors.

This position pays ABOVE the NJ Minimum Hourly Wage (Seasonal $15.23/hr) on our Tiered Pay Scale of $16-$18.00/hr. Plus, an eligible BONUS package for employees working through Sept 12, 2026. A thorough understanding of the position and compensation is provided during the interview process.

Basic Qualifications & Availability

• Ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Applicants must be available to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends, June 19 through Sept 6, 2026, on a varying weekly schedule, with a MINIMUM of (5) FIVE DAYS per week, 7-hour shifts, for the entire Summer Season. 
• NO REQUESTS FOR OFF ON HOLIDAY WEEKENDS 
• This position requires a friendly, outgoing personality, a sense of urgency, a willingness to engage with customers (in-person & over the phone), and take directions with ease from co-workers.
• Ability to become proficient using our reservation software, point-of-sale systems, and TMM guest booking process.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a fondness for live entertainment and ice cream!

Responsibilities:

• Safeguarding the legacy of The Music Man brand with outstanding courtesy and exceptional customer service that ensures our customers have a family fun experience.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of all offerings by being able to answer questions about the show schedule, prices, menu items, ingredients, and procedures for those guests with food allergies.
• Booking table for events in person, over the phone, and online.
• Clearly answer customer questions about all venue policies on reservations, seating, fees, and restrictions
• Process guest credit card information securely with integrity.
• Troubleshoot guest issues and consistently address customer concerns or special requests in a professional and timely manner. 
• Maintain accurate records of guest bookings by following our step-by-step process.
• Recommend an upcoming event by understanding the individuals that make up a customer’s party (e.g., age, needs, celebration).
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for all guests.
